MISSION, PURPOSE & GOALS


The mission of the Latino Democratic Committee of Orange County is to enhance the lives of Latinos in Orange County through empowerment, pride of ethnic origin, increase Latino voter registration, political awareness, involvement in government, education and community issues, building coalitions and development of political strength.

The purpose of the L.D.C.O.C. is to promote Latino participation in government and civic affairs.

L.D.C.O.C. shall unify Latinos in Orange County for a strong voice in government. Stimulate participation in public affairs that will foster a more representative government. Increase political influence and awareness of Latino Democrats within the Orange County Democratic Party. Support legislation and government action on national, state and local levels, which reflect the best interest of Latinos. Encourage qualified Latino citizens to become candidates for public office and support applicable campaign efforts to elect all Democratic Party nominees.
